List Of ISA DetaineesUpdate: 28/01/10
Gerakan Mansuhkan ISA (GMI) claimed that 14 people, including a Malaysian, were being held under the recent Internal Security Act (ISA) swoop, as opposed to the 10 announced by the Home Ministry. Full list of names of those arrested have yet to be confirmed, will update when available. How do you feel if your love one is listed below? The ISA does not belong to the 21st century, it must be repealed. Show your support by joining the calls to abolish this draconian law. We want to hear from you, your opinion, suggestions and any other ways that we can do to together to help the release of all these detainees and repeal the ISA.Update: Today 15 September 2009, the home ministry announced the release of another 5 detainees. The people are happy for them and their families but they are not grateful or thankful to the home minister for the release. They should not be incarnated in the first place, the ISA must be abolished. Even if the home minister were to release all the ISA detainees, which is wrong in the first place, without abolishing the ISA act, the people will still keep on protesting until it is repeal. As of 9th April 2009, there are still 27 people detained under the ISASource: Aliran On the advise of various parties, some photos were not displayed.

The Three HeroinesThis ISA act, detaining without trial, can happen to your daughters. They cannot justify any reasons for these three women being detained under the ISA (since released). This shows that they can abuse this ISA act. They can simply arrest anyone when they feel like it, when their power is threaten or simply put, "Abuse Of Power".

MCA said they won't drop the ISA issue and at MCA’s 55th annual general assembly MCA adopted a resolution urging the Government to review the Internal Security Act
while at Gerakan’s 37th national delegates conference, Gerakan passed the resolution calling for the repeal of the ISA.More details at Malaysiakini.
Can we count on them, I doubt it. We the rakyat must voice out loud and clear to the government that the ISA must GO. The final option, if all calls fall on deaf ears, is to vote them out totally in the next general election.
Great to see your flame still burning strong, Richard. In this world of lies, it is heartening know you are real and earnest in this cause.
ReplyDeleteKeep the flame burning bright!!!
