After having won all the past 8 by-elections in the peninsular, PAS/PR will be facing the toughest by-election at Bagan Pinang. Earlier, Isa Samad was named umno's candidate and later in the night PAS named its Negri Sembilan chief Zulkefli Omar as the candidate for the Bagan Pinang by-election.

Isa Samad has been named the BN candidate for the upcoming Bagan Pinang by-election. He is the candidate that Negri Sembilan Umno warlords wanted and Najib had no choice but to bow to their demand. This is to prove that Najib is very sincere in wanting to rid of corruptions and reform since they are not putting a corrupt candidate. Isa to umno is not corrupted, he is just playing with money politics which is not a crime according to the law of Malaysia and only umno can be the judge, the jury and the prosecutor on members who play with money politics.

With the perception that Isa is popular among the Bagan Pinang voters, "a clean personality" plus the near 5,000 postal votes, we can safely declare the winner, can we?

PAS/PR, looks like your winning streak is about to end with this by-election.

Is Khairy Hinting To Malaysians That Umno/BN Is Incompetent And Unfit To Govern?

I rarely read what Khairy said in the news but this headline "Khairy: Pakatan incompetent, unfit to govern" from The Malaysian Insider, today, caught my eyes. I am happy to see that Khairy has finally given us, Malaysians, a hint that Umno/Bn is truly incompetence and unfit to govern any further comes the 13th GE. So, he is reminding us, Malaysians to vote wisely and chose the right people who can really govern this country with competency and integrity.

Now let us see what he said and how he tried to avoid speaking against Umno/Bn for their incompetency in governing. In green is the reported news and in red my comment.

Umno Youth Chief believes the current in-fighting between PAS, DAP and Party Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) proves that Pakatan Rakyat (PR) is not fit to rule at the federal level.

He is telling us that when in-fighting happens between coalition parties at the State level, then the party is not fit to rule at the Federal level. Now, he is hinting to us that when in-fighting happens between coalition parties at the Federal level, then this party must be kicked out. There are so many in-fighting among the Umno/Bn coalitions parties over the years, so is Khairy hinting to us that they must not be allowed to govern any more?

Cracks in the loose coalition began to reappear when Selangor PAS Commissioner Datuk Dr Hasan Ali criticised the state’s select committee for competency, accountability and transparency (Selcat) for “bullying public servants” during a recent public inquiry.

When Selcat start the public inquiry, claims were made that the public servants were bullied. If this kind of inquiry is term as bullying and disqualified the party to rule at Federal level, then Khairy must be hinting here again that, the death of Teoh Beng Hock at the MACC building while he is being a witness, Kunan's death under police custody during interrogation and the many other deaths upon their being under inquiry at the Federal level must be worsed and we must ensure that Umno/Bn must not be allow to govern again comes the 13th GE.

Hasan previously clashed with PR colleagues over the sale of beer at convenience outlets in Shah Alam, and a plan to empower mosque committee members and workers to police immoral activities in the state.

When this kind of religious matter happen, then the ruling party at State level is not fit to run at Federal level. Khairy, you must be very good at hinting. At the present, umno/bn is governing at Federal level. There are so many religious incidents under umno/bn federal rule, snatching of dead bodies, conversion issues, couples caught holding hands and embracing each other is a no no and many more...So, Khairy, you mean to tell us that this type of party is not fit to govern at federal level, well, we will take note of your advise and vote umno/bn out of the federal level.

“This is indiscipline of the highest order and I think if they cannot handle this indiscipline, inconsistency and, frankly speaking, this incompetence, I don’t think they are fit to be in the federal government,” he explained.

Well, well, well, Khairy, thanks again for hinting what you want us to do come the next GE. If PR is indiscipline in the highest order from what you mentioned, they are not fit to be in the federal government. We got it, my friend, umno/bn, the federal ruling government is much worst, total disregard of the rule of law by the judiciary, the pdrm, the macc and of cause from the ministers as well while corruptions are at the highest level and all these mean indiscipline of the highest order. Don't worry Khairy, we take your hint, come the next GE, we will make sure umno/bn is kick out.

If there is such a thing as the Malaysian Idol in the 60's, I am quite sure that I can reach at least up to the last four finalist if not the title. To be frank, I am a retard where music is concern. There is no opportunity at all for me to learn music especially when one is poor. At that time, piano, guitar, drums and other musical instruments were alien to me as they were not displayed openly like they do now.

I can still remember that my grandfather owned a small radio and I would turn it on whenever my grandfather is not home. At that time there is no commercial break, other than the news hour, certain announcement and short stories, it's songs and music all day long. You can hear a top hit song repeated at least 6 to 8 times a day. You cannot find the lyrics of the song but when you keep on listening so many times a day for a week, you can just write out the lyrics.

The popular singers of the 60's were Cliff Richard, Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck and I learned by heart most of their songs. Each time when I step onto the stage, sorry, into the bathroom, I would sing all my heart's out. Surprisingly I could reach the high pitch songs of Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck. Each song that I lashed out while taking my bathe could be heard by my neighbours a few houses away. To be continue...

This weekend, for those who loves the 60's, I bring you two songs by Cliff Richard, Summer Holiday and Bachelor Boy from YouTube. Hope you will enjoy them and bring back old memories.

It looks like Pakatan Rakyat leaders can tolerate mutiny within the coalition. The leaders are not bold enough to take immediate actions against those mutineers. Fear of losing the State? If you do not act immediately against such mutiny, you will lose the State even faster.

By now, PR leaders should be able to see and identify those mutineers and take actions against them. But it looks like the leaders are condoning such actions with reasons only known to themselves.

But does the leaders know how agitated the people are, especially those who voted these mutineers who preaches "P.. is for all".

The people are not tolerating the inaction by the leaders and soon they will turn against PR and who benefits from these, your guess is as good as mind.

I am very strong in supporting PR to take over the Federal Government but I am fast losing hope that it can ever happen.

So what I want to know from PR leaders is, "What actions are you going to take against these mutineers", Make Your Stand, before I decide whether there is still any hope of PR surviving the next GE.

Take a look at these two reports:

An earlier report from Bernama:
(Bernama) KUALA LUMPUR: A minister is expected to be among a number of individuals to be hauled up by police for questioning, in connection with the leaked 'Cabinet Papers' on the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) case, said Federal Police Chief Tan Sri Musa Hassan.

Late evening report from theMalaysianInsider:
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 – Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan tonight denied a Bernama news report that quoted him as saying that a minister or ministers would be called up to assist in the probe on the leakage of the Cabinet Paper on the Port Klang Free Zone issue.

People are just not interested to know who leaks those cabinet paper. By all means go all the way to nab and imprison them for breaking the law.

While the law is catching up with those who leaks the cabinet paper I am sure there are still other enforcers available to probe into the truth of the cabinet paper.

The rakyat would want to know to what extend the cabinets knew and agreed with the increase from RM1.2 Billion to RM4.6 billion of the PKFZ projects as noted in the leaked cabinet papers and if there are any hanky panky going on.

If the police force cannot handle this case that may involved big time corruptions, then call in the MACC (last heard that they are at par or better then HK ICAC) to help out. At the time of this posting, no leaders including the pm have call for any probe into the cabinet paper on the PKFZ but instead are more interested in apprehending those who leaks it.

It looks like our incorrigible and deceptive umno/bn leaders will treat this case that may involved nearly all the cabinet ministers including prime ministers, past and present, as a non issue and diverting to catching those who leaks the cabinet paper.

Way to go for "1Malaysia, People First Performance Now".

Let us first take a look at the meaning of Incorrigible And Deceptive.

Incorrigible - Incapable of being corrected or amended, bad beyond correction or reform

Deceptive - Tending to deceive, having power to mislead or impress false opinion, misleading

Since Najib took over as the Prime Minister of Malaysia there are no shortages of miscalculated statements from his ministers and himself. Their statements reflect that they are either the incorrigible, deceptive leaders or both.

Read my earlier posting with regard to Najib's Raya message and you decide whether he is a corrigible or a deceptive leader or maybe both here.

After the "cow head" controversy which I described the home minister as a "Deceptive Leader", today, Home Minister Datuk Hishammuddin Tun Hussein had given another statement regarding the leaking of classified Cabinet papers. Let us comb through his statement in italic and my query in green.

(The Star) PUTRAJAYA: Police investigations into the posting of classified Cabinet papers on the Internet will focus more on where the leak occurred rather than who was responsible for making them public, said Home Minister Datuk Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.

He also warned that the police would even probe ministers if they were suspected to be involved.

Hishammuddin said since the papers were classified, the person responsible for the leak would have to be "someone on the inside" and as such would have to face action.

I agree with the home minister for taking such a swift action against whoever leak these classified papers. Since it is against the law to leak classified papers actions must be taken.
On another note, maybe this is not within his capacity, we have yet to hear the call for a full investigation on the questionable knowledge by the full cabinets on these classified papers proceeding.

He said the act of leaking the papers was serious as it jeopardised the government’s decisions on how to lead, manage and administer the country and it was something that could not be tolerated.

Such a statement must be from a "deceptive leader". I have to make the assumption that the home minister is talking about the PKFZ fiasco and not in general term. How can such a project like PKFZ, if known by the public jeopardise the government’s decisions on how to lead, manage and administer the country. Public funds were used and the public have every right to know. Other than matters that concern national security, the public have the right to know all the government’s decisions on how to lead, manage and administer the country.

“The papers were leaked before they were even discussed in cabinet and there is a possibility that they may not even have been discussed but leaking the papers has compromised the cabinet.

Truly a very "deceptive leader" trying to find a way out. These leaked papers were signed and dated 22 Jun 2007 and money were being paid, yet this "deceptive leader" is telling us that these papers were leaked before they were even discussed in cabinet. Is he trying to tell us, all along big sum of the public money are spend without cabinets approval?

“There is a reason why the Official Secrets Act (OSA) was created and all those within the Government have a responsibility to respect the law and the confidentiality of the documents.

A combination of a "Incorrigible and Deceptive leader". The OSA was created, to my understanding, is to ensure national security but any other papers pertaining to the use of public funds and the general welfare of the public should not be classified under the OSA. Well it is heartening to hear the minister telling us that the Government have a responsibility to respect the law, but do they really respect the law?

Singing different tune to different audiences are things of the past. Najib, who is now the PM is also umno's president, thinks that he can just win back voters with all his sloganeering of "1Malaysia, People First Performance Now". I am truly in support of his slogan if it is put into real actions but for now, sad to say, it is all hot air only.

A part of Najib's Raya message from TheMalaysianInsider
Datuk Seri Najib Razak appealed to Muslims and Malaysians to strengthen unity and discard suspicions among each other in his first Hari Raya Aidil Fitri message as prime minister while attacking “hate-mongers” for sowing ungratefulness among the people....In his message, the prime minister asked Malaysians to repair the current bridges of communications and to build new bridges of understanding. “Break the current fortresses of suspicions, hate and apathy for a better future for our children,” Najib said.

I am just wondering whether Najib understands what is unity. Unity can only works if each and everyone conform to a standard set of rules and abide by it. You cannot just ask a certain group of people to follow your unity program while at the same time allowing certain media and ministers to spew all kinds of racist and seditious remarks.

Does Najib really understand what he said, In his message, the prime minister asked Malaysians to repair the current bridges of communications and to build new bridges of understanding.

Communications are two way traffics. How can you expect the people to communicate with the authority when almost everything that the government does are under the OSA or the printing press act. Leaders tend to forget that they are the servants of the people once they attained the top leadership and will try their best, through any means to impose all kinds of illogical rulings that became a burden instead of easing it.

When you conveniently keep mum when a group of Malays dragged a cow head to the Selangor state secretariat to protest the relocation of a Hindu temple with the support of your home minister, how do you intend to proceed with your idea of building new bridges of understanding. This understanding also requires a two way traffic. You cannot expect all the time that the minority must always build the new bridges of understanding while allowing the majority to just burn it down.

I reproduce a few comments that responded to Najib's Raya message from TheMalaysianInsider

written by lingam, September 20, 2009
Najib should start in his own back yard. UMNO and Utusan Malaysia have been sowing racial discord pitting Malays against Non-Malays. Even Government institutions are branded by Utusan as Malay institutions under attack by non Malays. The cow head mongrels were encouraged by politicians and Najib's own nephew met and tried to justified their actions.

After 52 years of BN rule those in BN that sowed racial discord are indeed ungrateful to the Rakyat.

written by swipenter, September 20, 2009
Just a couple of days ago you hailed Utusan Melayu as defenders of the Malays when the racist articles they print are highly seditious and highly inflammatory, Today you ask us not to be suspicious of each other. What is your stand and how fluid is your 1Malaysia concept. You are talking differently when addressing Malaysians of different racial origins. You cannot expect us to understand your 1Malaysia concept when you yourself are spouting different meanings to it every now and then.

written by Sang Wira, September 20, 2009
Great message. But give it to the UMNO politicians, its members & Utusan Malaysia. The rakyat have already been practising it.

written by B.U.N., September 20, 2009
How can one be expected to discard suspicions when the PM himself does not speak in one tongue? To the rakyat in general he speaks of 1Malaysia but then he turns around and sings a different tune when he speaks to Utusan Malaysia.

There is no doubt that we all have a lot to be grateful for but we have even more to be grateful for if UMNOputras and their cronies would ensure that the nation is governed by law and order without fear and favour. We would have a lot more to be thankful for if they had not abused their powers and literally rob the nation. We only have to speak of the submarine deal in which Razak Baginda walked away with RM500 million, or of the PKFZ where well-connected individuals have walked away with billions. We would have a lot more to be thankful for if all that money had gone into providing better schools and universities for our children, better hospitals for all, better roads, better governance, etc., etc.

Whenever some informant comes out with truths about the abuse of power and corruption in high places you set the police after the informant and not those who have abused power and enriched themselves through corrupt practices. And you are telling us to discard suspicions?!

written by Greenbug, September 20, 2009
The PM should advise Utusan Malaysia for spreading the lies and fanning the hatred and racial flames but he praised the newspaper group instead. Now he blames others except himself and his colleagues? Sudahlah... he is not sincere at all and in a denial mode.

written by kumar, September 20, 2009
Lets do some soul searching here. There is no sincerity on the part of UMNO to unite all races. Just read the articles in Utusan that continues to incite racial hatred. It is only once in year during a festive season when all politicians call for unity. It is back to square one once the festivity ends. Malaysia is a blessed country. It is UMNO that is shredding the country to pieces. Our only hope is now only on ANwar and team to turn the country around. If they too betray us, that will be the saddest day

written by tom wong, September 20, 2009
I suspect Najib have two personalities sickness like the Jackel. With a flip of a coin he can be the other personality. Its proven in many recent published newspaper [I read both NST & STAR Newspp] on his speeches, totally contradicts one another as times goes by. Or may be he thought the Rakyat mudah lupa. Scarry. A PM who claims to listen to the rakyat and promoting his multi million ringgit 1Malaysia slogan turn disastrous today with his speech during a breaking of fast function at Sri Utusan Printing Complex here.

Since the PM launched his 1Malaysia, I for one had predicted that it is not a sincere gesture but to hook for votes. He is spending millions to enhance his image and that include his latest 1Malaysia F1 where I find the real purpose is to promote himself and his so call 1Malaysia while at the same time someone close to him will gain monetarily and nothing else.

The majority of Malaysians had known that utusan is a racist and irresponsible newspaper and yet the PM can claimed it to be an ethical and unbiased reporting paper.

I reproduce the PM speech as reported by The Malaysian Insider and read what brickbats the PM received from readers here.

By Asrul Hadi Abdullah Sani, The Malaysian Insider

BANGI, Sept 18 — The Prime Minister hailed the Umno-owned Utusan Malaysia today for its ethical and unbiased reporting.

The Umno president also praised Utusan for being the voice of the people, especially the Malay community.

“Utusan is known for its trademark and its trademark is to voice the desire of the people, especially the Malay community,” he said in his speech during a breaking of fast function at Sri Utusan Printing Complex here.

However Datuk Seri Najib Razak warned that the media must not only report ethically but also responsibly.

“I hope that we will not only voice the rights of only the Malay community but for the other races as well. When we want to defend rights (of a community), we must also discuss about responsibility,” he said.

He also urged the media to play an important role to shape the nation into 1 Malaysia.

“Media has the responsibility to help in the journey travelled by Malaysia.

The journey which seeks common understanding, openness in thinking. The journey which will also test our struggle.

“If in this journey, we bring chaos and sentiments without looking at the bigger perspective then the journey will go through many difficulties,” he said.

The government aims to engage more with the media because “the era of government knows everything is over.”

“We will interact with the press so that the press will understand the thinking of the government and the direction the government is taking.

“The press will play its part in building a Malaysia which is more prosperous,” he said.

Utusan Malaysia has been criticised for being used to attack the opposition and ratcheting up racial tensions.

The Umno-owned newspaper was also responsible for running daily stories criticising calls to allow former communist leader Chin Peng to return to Malaysia, linking it to what the newspaper says are moves to question Malay rights.

The paper also suggested that DAP is anti-Islam and said Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was willing to betray the Malays to be prime minister — both incendiary subjects in mainly Malay Muslim Malaysia.

"One People, One Nation"

Encouraging And Promising Launch Of "Saya Anak Bangsa Malaysia" SABM

Isn't it frustrating that after 52 years of independence we are still toiling around, with certain risk, to bring Malaysians together. We are being issued birth certificates, identity cards as well as travelling passports indicating that we are Malaysians. The Constitutions were written to ensure that all Malaysians are fairly treated with equal opportunity regardless of race, religion or culture. Why than are we still separated by race, religion and culture?

Haris of People's Parliament had identified the causes and strongly announced that "We Must Take Back Our Country". SABM is non partisan, so to abide by it, I am not going to point finger on who is guilty but hoping and wishing that SABM will be able to work together with both sides of the political divide to bring all Malaysians of different races, religions and cultures to come together as "One People, One Nation".

You can read more on Haris's thought here and the official SABM website which was also officially launched is available here.

I attended the launching and when I arrived at around 4:30pm I can see the full SABM team hard at work preparing for the launch. Even though it rain, at times quite a heavy pour, nothing is gonna stop this launch.

The Barisan Rakyat team was there and you can read their postings with photos from
ShanghaiFish, Hawkeye, The Whisperer and Zorro.

It was also a great opportunity to meet up the first time with fellow bloggers, Din Merican, Lita, Malik Imtiaz, SKThew and FB friends, Padma, Pat Lu, Jarod, and Tricia. The tigress of Seremban, Angela, who led the Seremban candle light vigil was there as well. There are bloggers and FB friends who may be there whom I may have missed, sorry.

My simple camera managed to snatch a few photos to share with you all.
