At this stage of campaigning, for all past by elections, predictions, exit polls and analysts would have come out with preliminary estimate of which party will win and by what margin.
But for this Sibu by election, no one, including the experts can really gauged the ground sentiment and which party is leading on the run up to polling day, which is less than 3 days away.
On the ground we can see that PR/DAP is working very hard to convince the voters while umno/Supp has the easy way out with their money printing machine at hand, umno/bn owned media doing the spin and of course instituting the fear factor by "unknown" strangers.
Can the low turn out at PR/DAP ceramahs considered as lack of support for the party while thousands attending umno/Supp "free" dinners with umno's top leaders indicate strong support?
After a week of campaigning, we can conclude that the overall sentiment on this by election is different from by elections in the peninsular. The locals are not so easily aroused with what is happening in the peninsular although it can or will affect them sooner or later or may already affecting them without they knowing it.
I had said on my earlier Hard Talk series 2 that umno/Supp is confident that the win is theirs and PR/DAP can salvaged some pride if they can reduced the 2008 majority of 3235.
At this stage I will still predict that umno/Supp will win and the majority will depend on the voters turnout considering that around 2,000 postal votes are already in umno/Supp's hands.
Sibu voters, you have seen, heard and given the opportunities to decide which party MP should be elected. You have to decide whether you want a better and brighter future on a long term basis or just be happy with the short term and ad hoc promises that you may not received.
Malaysia is in need of a change over to rid of arrogant, racist and corrupt leaders under umno/bn rule.
You cannot be wrong by voting PR/DAP but if you allow umno to remain in power there cannot be any bright future for Malaysia, corruptions will continue unabated.
PR/DAP is not 100% perfect but is surely 100% better than umno. BN exist in name only, all the component parties including SUPP are just umno's puppets without any power.
