Yes, umno is now leading by 5,000 votes even though the EC has yet to announce the date of polling for the Bagan Pinang buy election. In Malaysia boleh, we still continue with the postal votes for the police and arm forces and from past election results, over 90% usually goes to umno bn. Looks like umno is sure to win this State seat.

Bagan Pinang has 14,192 voters and in the last GE, 10,527 voters turn up to vote.

umno garnered 6,430 votes and PAS with 4,097 votes giving umno a majority of 2,333 votes.

So should PR give it a miss, just like umno chicken out at Penanti knowing that they have no chance of winning?

After surfing through various pro-PR blogs and facebook, it indicates that supporters are not giving up, in high spirit and confidence of wresting the State seat from umno.

Supporters are calling upon the police and arm forces who are voting to wake up and see the evil of umno. They are hoping to snatch at least 30% from these postal votes. If the police and arm forces voters can give PR the 30%, the chances of PAS/PR winning is on the high side. But from the history of postal votes it is very unlikely to happen. Read Zorro's take on the postal votes here.

This is one of the images that I got from hardcore supporters of Pakatan Rakyat.

My description of this image: umno at present is still strong and we need four powerful rockets to blast it on all sides with two strong foundations support of PAS and PKR.
