The Malaysian Insider:
Nazri: Judge was wrong in ‘Allah’ decision
“In my opinion, the judge has erred in making the decision. The issue is whether the Home Minister had the power to impose a ban on the Catholic church in using the term “Allah”, not whether “Allah” can be used or not.

In my opinion, the home minister has no power whatsoever to ban on the Catholic church in using the term “Allah”. They have been using the word even before you were born. Is there any law stipulated in the constitution that the home minister have the power to ban the word or matter of fact any other words?

“The Home Minister was doing the right thing, in making a decision to avoid public unrest and dissatisfaction among Muslims, who make up more than 60 per cent in this country,” said Nazri.

For decades the word "Allah" have been used by others and there is no public unrest nor dissatisfaction among muslims until umno try to play politic using religion to gain more support.

Nazri compared the “Allah” uproar to the cow-head protests in Shah Alam, saying that it is essentially very similar.
“Take the cow-head protests for example. If you look at it from a legal perspective, there seems to be nothing wrong with stepping on the head of a cow. But because a significant portion of this country’s citizens are Hindus, the government has taken action against the cow-head protestors.”

Such an intelligent comparison, I am not sure actually what they were charged with and only because of large public outcry. They had the backing and support of the home minister and we are quite sure that the action taken were just "wayang kulit" in the eyes of the public.

Now a day the high court decisions are worthless. It has become the norm for high court decision that is unfavorable to umno or the government, the appeal court will immediately be employed to overturn the high court decision except for the Altantuya murder case. In my opinion, Nazri should suggest for the removal of the high court and dismiss all the judges and put all cases pertaining to umno or the government straight to the appeal court.

A Must Read For Those Who Think That Umno/BN Is Still The Best - Pt. 1

I am still waiting to write and post one good thing about the new PM after having hold office for 9 months. My observation is, he is no different from the past two ex-PM, starting off with a big bang couple with lots of big talks about his plan for all Malaysians but it boils down to just talks but no real actions. A few mere superficial changes after 9 months are not what the rakyat are seeking and it does not warrant me to write and bluff ourselves that these are the changes that the rakyat needs and wanted. Moreover he has yet to come clean on the accusations and speculations on the baggages that he is carrying.
Latest fuss, the high court ruling over the "Allah" case seems to show how insincere he is with his 1Malaysia concept saying that his Government will appeal and that means, to overturn the high court ruling, just because that the issue is sensitive and hurt the feelings of the muslim but he could not care less should the ruling be overturned, it will be sensitive and hurt the feelings of the "2nd or 3rd class" Catholic Malaysians.

Is it so difficult for him to implement his rhetoric slogan of "1Malaysia, People First Performance Now" when he is so powerful with plenty of the rakyat's money that he controlled?

Other than introducing his KPI and NKRA, which by the way are just talk only whereby we have yet to see the real implementation. For the KPI what a surprise to see the IGP receiving a score of over 130% when he had yet to show anything done to curb the rising crime and his bias actions against those who are pro-oppositions. A real test is waiting for the IGP to see how he handles the coming demonstrations called by those who are against the court ruling on the "Allah" case.

MACC officer Raub Ghani police report lodged against Thai pathologist Dr. Pornthip Rojanasunand shows how weak and irrelevant MACC is. What kind of KPI will it received and will MACC actions help to reduce corruptions as per the NKRA? The holes that they dug are getting too big and deep for them to cover.

As for the National Key Results Areas (NKRA) which stresses on quality and affordable education, crime prevention, reducing corruption, addressing poverty, upgrading infrastructure in the rural areas and improving public transportation, we still need another 12 months to see the results as per Idris Jala request. Do we really need 12 months to see any result? What we see after 1 month of introducing the NKRA is that the macc and the pdrm are just not concentrating on their job functions to fight corruptions and crimes but are still on the rampage to stop the advancement of the Oppositions.

YB Lim Kit Siang had posted the following articles on his blog which you may find why the PM rhetoric slogan of "1Malaysia, People First Performance Now" are mere publicity and propaganda.

After nine months, “1Malaysia. People First. Performance Now” has proved to be mere publicity and propaganda puff of Najib premiership with no meaningful change or consequence to the lives of Malaysians

Two days to read Maverick Mahathir and 58 days to decide whether it jeopardizes national security and public safety – what KPI/NKRA and “Performance Now”?

Are police reports by police/MACC against Guan Eng, Ean Yong, Dr. Pornthip and Suara Keadilan part of a high-level sinister design/conspiracy to clamp down and strike out at fair comments on important national issues?

PM must lay the foundations to achieve his new year promises

The Malaysian Insider headlines:
Najib calls for calm, government will appeal decision

What does this tell us about this 1Malaysia PM, "the Government will appeal", why the Government, is the Government for muslim only? The Government must stay neutral as it serves all Malaysians and not umno or muslim only. This means that Najib who is leading the Government is against Malaysian Christian to use the word Allah because it is sensitive and touch the feelings of the muslim. What about the feelings of the other non muslim Malaysian Christians, do they have no soul nor feelings? So, tell me 1Malaysia PM, what exactly is it about your shouting 1Malaysia?

It is well acknowledged that the word "Allah" have been used by the Christian in Sabah and Sarawak for a very long time, even TM admitted that and why out of the blue the home minister banned its use. 'Allah' may be used by others to confuse Muslims said one Defence Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. After others have been using the word "Allah" for decades, only now in the 21st century, that they say that it can confused the muslims, without any evidence or proof to what they claimed. They thought so only and the home ministry simply banned it without thinking further, just like the indelible ink fiasco, base on hear say but with no proof or evidence.

The PM of 1Malaysia can only talk of unity, harmony and what not but he simply has no guts to put them into actions. Can he come out and admit that it was wrong in the first place to ban the word "Allah" after it had been used for so long by others without any problem.

My advise, Najib, Garbaged Your 1Malaysia Concept Now before it becomes a laughing stock to Malaysians and the world. What we can see in your 1Malaysia is that everything can be sensitive or hurt the feelings of muslims and malays but non malays and non muslims do not have souls or feelings at all to you.

The Malaysian Insider headlines:
Najib calls for calm, government will appeal decision
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today called on Muslims to be calm and not “heat up” the issue of the High Court decision to allow a Catholic weekly to use the word “Allah” in its publication.

The Prime Minister said the government was quite aware that the issue was sensitive as well as touching on the feelings of Muslims in the country and as such the government would deal with the matter as soon as possible. Read full story here.

In order for Malaysia to become fully Independent and a Developed country, all Malaysians must work together towards that goal. We got our Independent from the British but instead of being truly Independent that allows the citizens to govern this country, we are just being handed over from the British to another tyrant master in the form and shape, that is umno, which do not recognized true Independence and Democracy.

After over 52 years of the tyrant umno rules, we are getting from bad to worst. You may disagree and claimed that we have progress, yes, we have progress no doubt in what we see, the roads and highways, super tall buildings, air show, F1, monsoon cup etc.etc. These type of progress can be achieved by anyone as long as there are money and money is what we have for now.

We have not progress as a nation in terms of the peoples welfare, harmony among all the races, meritocracy and equality. We are so divided among the different races, miles apart between the rich and the poor, billions are lost through corruptions, suppression of truth, a total breakdown of the rule of law, the so call independence of the pdrm, macc, judiciary are no longer independent while the top leaders assumed that they are above the law. The frequent used term of racism, ketuanan melayu and religion are destroying and tearing this country apart.

How many times and how much longer are you all going to be deceived by umno/bn that they are still the best and capable of running this country. On face value they look capable, sound capable, act like capable but in reality what do we see in their performances. Each time when a new PM takes over, he will come out with fascinating slogan and waste tonnes of money to shore up his image, especially when voters turn against them.

The latest PM, groomed from the ways and styles of umno's expired methodology of governing, had came out with another slogan of "1Malaysia, People First Performance Now" and after nine months, more talks and no actions. We still see racism rear its ugly head through utusan, btn, umno's members and ministers, people are still last in his mind when the prices of consumer goods keep rising while pay check remain stagnant. What kind of "performance now" do we anticipate from his slogan, other than introducing the KPI, which to many learned politicians and scholars find that it does not indicate very much and we still see the same pdrm, macc, judiciary doing the bidding of its master umno.

Previously a few sweets thrown out by the PM is good enough to satisfy the rakyat and they are just happy to return back to umno/bn. After winning back the voters and triumphed in elections after elections, they always go back to their racist, arrogant, corrupt ways of governing.

After the 308 tsunami, umno knows that a few sweets are just not enough to satisfy the voters. Now they are giving out very thin slices of the cake, sometimes top with some icing to pacify the voters and win back the lost votes. This is what the present PM is trying to achieve, giving out a few more ringgits in order for him to win back with greater majority and strengthen his power base. Looking back from the previous umno's behaviour of running this country, we can safely say that, once the PM regain his power base, there is no stopping him and his umno's ministers to become arrogant, racist and corrupt again.

Malaysia must remain Malaysia and whatever we need to do and help Malaysians, we must always maintain the country's name, call Malaysia. If you sincerely want to unite all Malaysians and treat all as equal, you still can use Malaysia to get it done, why want to bring another unwarranted name call "1Malaysia"?

Fellow Malaysians, we have enough of umno/bn rule for over 50 years, we need to have a change, for better or worst, we have to give it a try. There is nothing to be afraid of, fearing a new government with no experience will destroy the country?. Let me take you back to 52 years ago, if the British were to think like what you are thinking, will the British gave up their rule and hand over the country to umno which at that time do not have any experience whatsoever in governing.?
