We are very thankful to Idris Jala honesty for telling us that Malaysia will be bankrupt within 9 years if subsidies are not cut. In a way, he is telling us that the Government is having financial problem.

Why is it that every time the country faces economy or financial crisis, the rakyat will be the first line of defence to be scarified to save the Government.

We never get to hear from our leaders that they will tighten their own belt first, like giving up their luxurious lifestyle, pay cut and stop their globe trotting unless it is a necessity.

The worst is the PM and his so call "First Lady" enormous spending just to prop up their images. Having to spend millions for a visit to rub shoulder with President Obama, and million spent to advertise the PM "First Lady" in Washington. Getting celebrities to grace unnecessary functions are just wasteful expenses.

My question to Idris Jala is, why he did not call for the PM, "First Lady" and other leaders to set a good example by being more prudent in using the public fund?

Update: Najib should look at the mirror first before he vilified Anwar. Anwar is not the PM yet so there is no way to judge on what he promises. Najib is the PM and we can see what kind of PM he is through his flip flopping ways and his promises of running this country.

Just read this report Najib says yet to confirm NEM and see how he wriggles and flip flop out of his promises.

Talking about promises, what kind of promises is Najib talking about? Is his way of "You Help Me, I Help You" type of promise, where the promise can be rescinded if you do not vote for him considered a promise by the PM?

The public must evaluate wisely every promise made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, because the Umno President merely wants to achieve his ambition to stay in power and his party Umno to rule forever.

The public must recall the big lie made by Najib when he spread the word that 1Malaysia is to unite all as Malaysian First and race second but he agrees with his deputy that the Malays must come First. Today Najib is facing electoral defeat and he wanted to be closed to the non malays especially the Chinese while conveniently forgetting the time when he joined the protest that called for the keris to flow with Chinese blood.

The "1Malaysia People First Performance Now" is perceived to be a political gimmick by Najib in an effort to regain the support of the Chinese community and non malays.

The people must be careful because Najib's promises may not be necessarily fulfilled. Sometimes he says something to the Malays, while telling the Chinese something else.

It’s up to the people. What’s important is that the people cannot accept every promise wholesale because Najib knows that he cannot fulfil them all.

The public should also realised that Najib is losing influence among the non malays, especially the Chinese and his coalition partners are in tatter.

The above is my response to Najib's call to the public to be wary of promises made by Anwar. You can read the report here.

Yes Mr. Prime Minister, we are very wary of Anwar but we are also very wary about you and umno. Have you and umno/bn kept all your promises since ruling for 53 years? Even you cannot make good your "1Malaysia, People First Performance Now" rhetoric. So please do not try to be smarter than the rakyat...OK....

Prime Minister Najib and CEO of Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu), Idris Jala, we know and understand the weaknesses and consequences facing the country should subsidies be prolonged.

Is it true that the country will go bankrupt just because of subsidies? We do not think so.

Before you two embarked any further talks or implementation of economy reforms, I am challenging both of you to show and tell us the truth of where our billions have actually gone.

Open up the book account of the country's finance, the money that belongs to the people, and show us in details, money income collected from all sources and the outgoing expenses.

Let the independent professionals study them and they will tell us the actual scenario of our country economy.

Do not tell us everything is classified under the OSA, that is bullshit.

A few days ago RPK's interview with Free Malaysia Today was posted at RPK web portal titled:

RPK: Anwar dispensable, Khalid a failure
FMT EXCLUSIVE: Opposition party PKR needs to wean itself off Anwar Ibrahim and start grooming a new batch of leaders to take it forward, said popular blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin who is now in exile in London.

He said that the party, and for that matter the opposition pact Pakatan Rakyat, was relying too much on Anwar for leadership.

“The problem with Anwar is that he does not have a good team. What if Anwar dies tomorrow? Do you mean that PKR or Pakatan Rakyat is also dead?

“No man is indispensable. Every one can be replaced, Anwar included,” he told FMT in an exclusive interview.

The Malay Mail, a mouthpiece for umno, was so quick to respond with this report, trying their very best to highlight what RPK said was gospel truth and that they believed in him.
PKR running Selangor on borrowed time, say BN

Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders were not surprised by fugitive blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin's outburst against the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leadership and Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

All three BN leaders told The Malay Mail yesterday it was a sign something was brewing within PKR and the Selangor State government.

"For a fugitive like Raja Petra, who has been against the establishment, to criticise PKR and Khalid's leadership as Selangor MB, it is indeed something," Selangor opposition leader Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo said.

"At last, someone has confirmed what's been going on about the Opposition pact – the PR leadership lacks credibility."

"I was not surprised Raja Petra did not mince his words on Khalid's leadership as Selangor MB," said Dr Khir Toyo, adding it was an open secret Khalid was not PR's first choice as Menteri Besar.

MCA vice-president Datuk Donald Lim Chiang Sai took the same stand, noting PKR and PR leaders had, on many occasions, not presented the same political agendas.

Describing Raja Petra's comments as valid and objective, he said: "There is a dearth of cohesion among the PR leaders. Selangor is a good example, with them openly criticising each other. It goes to show PR has no clear direction and when Anwar goes, their ship will sink." MIC Youth Chief T. Mohan recalled how PKR made a lot of promises in Selangor but have yet, been unable to keep their word.

Can I now assume that Umno/bn leaders and their media also believed in RPK articles linking Najib and Rosmah to the murder of Altantuya.

Will the Malay Mail and Umno/bn leaders come out to support RPK's SD and his article titled "Rosmah at murder scene".

NO HOLDS BARRED

Raja Petra Kamarudin

My informer states that Acting Colonel Aziz Buyong was the person who placed the C4 on various parts of Altantuya’s body while being witnessed by Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and Norhayati.

In his latest bombshell, Raja Petra accused Rosmah as among three individuals who were present when Altantuya was murdered on October 19, 2006.

"I have been reliably informed that between about 10pm on October 19, 2006 and early hours of the following day, the night Altantuya Shaariibuu was murdered, three other people were also present at the scene of crime," he said, according to his two-page statutory declaration.

He named the two other individuals as one acting colonel Aziz Buyong, who is described as ‘a C4 expert’ and the latter’s wife, known only as Norhayati, who is also said to be Rosmah’s aide de camp. Read full article here.

STATUTORY DECLARATION

I, RAJA PETRA BIN RAJA KAMARUDIN (IC No: 500927-71-5257), a Malaysian citizen of legal age residing at No. 5, Jalan BRP 5/5, BuKit Rahman Putra, 47000 Sungai Buloh, Selangor Darul Ehsan, do solemnly and sincerely affirm and say as follows:-

1. I have been reliably informed that between about 10 p.m. on 19th October 2006 and early hours of the following day, the night Altantuya Shaariibuu was murdered, three (3) other people were also present at the scene of the crime;

(a) Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak

(b) Acting Colonel Aziz Buyong (then Lt. Col.) a C4 expert

(c) Acting Colonel Aziz’s wife, Norhayati (one of Rosmah’s ADC)

2. My informer states that Acting Colonel Aziz Buyong was the person who placed the C4 on various parts of Altantuya’s body while being witnessed by Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and Norhayati.

3. I make this Statutory Declaration because I have been reliably informed about the involvement of these three people who have thus far not been implicated in the murder nor called as witnesses by the prosecution in the on going trial at the Shah Alam High Court. I also make this Statutory Declaration because I am aware that it is a crime not to reveal evidence that may help the police in its investigation of the crime.

4. I have further been reliably informed that Prime Minister, Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has received a written report from the Military Intelligence confirming what I have revealed above and that the report was subsequently handed over to his son-in-law, Khairy Jamaluddin, for safe-keeping.

5. I have also been reliably informed that one of the Rulers has been briefed about this matter and His Highness is fully aware of what I have revealed above.

6. I have knowledge of who has informed me of this matter plus I have knowledge of the Ruler who has been briefed and is aware of the matter but I have agreed that I shall not reveal this information other than mention that the Prime Minister and his son-in-law have been handed a written report confirming what I have revealed.

7. The purpose of this Statutory Declaration is to urge all these parties who have been duly informed and have knowledge of this matter to come forward to reveal the truth so that the police are able to conduct a proper and thorough investigation into the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu.

And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions of the Statutory Declaration Act, 1960.

A very sweet and lovable song by Neil Diamond, "I am...I said" for your listening pleasure during this long weekend holidays.

I placed two versions with the lyrics if you want to sing along. ENJOY

I AM... I SAID
Written by Neil Diamond

L.A.'s fine, the sun shines most the time
And the feeling is 'lay back'
Palm trees grow, and rents are low
But you know I keep thinkin' about
Making my way back

Well I'm New York City born and raised
But nowadays, I'm lost between two shores
L.A.'s fine, but it ain't home
New York's home, but it ain't mine no more

"I am," I said
To no one there
An no one heard at all
Not even the chair
"I am," I cried
"I am," said I
And I am lost, and I can't even say why
Leavin' me lonely still

Did you ever read about a frog who dreamed of bein' a king
And then became one
Well except for the names and a few other changes
I you talk about me, the story's the same one

But I got an emptiness deep inside
And I've tried, but it won't let me go
And I'm not a man who likes to swear
But I never cared for the sound of being alone

"I am," I said
To no one there
An no one heard at all
Not even the chair
"I am," I cried
"I am," said I
And I am lost, and I can't even say why
Leavin' me lonely still

If the Federal Government does not care about Sabah, who should? When Malaya wanted Sabah to join in the formation of Malaysia they can promise everything and anything but after 47 years what has become of Sabah. Only Sabahan themselves will know how badly treated they are by the Federal Government and umno controlled CM.

Today we have one of those Sabahans who dare to speak out and fight for their rights. Please read this short note of appeal from Ronnie Klassen and share among your friends.

    Greetings my esteemed friends,

Sabahans are patriotic to the nation and will fight to their last drop of blood to defend the nation. And they are always reminded to adhere to and believe in the Constitution. My question is, which constitution are we talking about NOW?

Tun Fuad Stephens had called for the review of the provisions in the constitution of the country because it did not seem to reflect what was intended by the original Malaysian agreement. Look what happened to him and his cabinet – “dead”. Was it political assassination? The people of Sabah have been oppressed to the extend that they have to BEG for development funds and any meaningful funds comes only once every 5 years during the elections. Sabahans must not and should not be beggars in their own land, They MUST RISE and demand back what rightfully belongs to them.

Please assist by spreading, forwarding and promoting my blog to all friends, associates, clients, relatives, facebook friends/groups and local and foreign NGO’s.

Thank you and have a pleasant and productive week ahead.

Whenever I read that MACC had opened a file, especially for those walking the corridors of power, I will always be on the lookout for this part of MACC statement:

“After an investigation, whether or not there is a case... depends on the Attorney-General’s office”

And on whose side do you think that the Attorney General will stand with, the MACC that brought the charges or the high profile personality that was charged?

Within an hour of the report that "MACC is to investigate Najib's" was out, there are hundreds of comments in the blogsphere giving their verdicts or outcome of the investigation.

Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK) is a wanted man by the Malaysian authorities. The police has no clue to his where about for over a year. They claimed that he is in Australia at one time, then somewhere in Europe, with a hint that he may be in Thailand and somewhere in between times he is in England.

"He can run but he cannot hide", we will capture him and we are working with Interpol to get him. I just wonder how much cost, how many man hour and effort are spent just to capture this criminal, Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK).

Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK) claimed that he is not on the run and he proved it yesterday by holding a forum in London. Now that everyone knows where Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK) is, will the police and the Malaysian Government go all the way to arrest and extradite him.

RPK challenges Malaysia to fight him in UK

    By Shannon Teoh

LONDON, May 23 — Fugitive blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin has thrown down the gauntlet to Malaysian authorities, challenging them to bring standing charges against him to the courts in the United Kingdom.

Swaggering into a packed hall in the UK capital yesterday and flanked by two burly men in dark glasses, the controversial Malaysia Today writer insisted that he would fight charges of criminal defamation and sedition as well as the appeal against his Internal Security Act (ISA) detention, given a level playing field.

“I will take on the government and I will fight them but I will do what Sun Tzu said, ‘Fight him in your territory.’

“So my territory is here in the UK,” he declared to applause from a largely partisan crowd of over 300, who had their bags searched before entering the hall at the BPP Law School.

Many had to stand for the two-hour talk by the blogger, who repeated what he had written over the years, in his first formal appearance after over a year in self-imposed exile.

Raja Petra wore his now signature beret and immediately refuted the notion that he should return home to prove his innocence of the charges levelled against him.

“A first year law student can tell you that it is not the job of the accused to prove his innocence. It is the job of the prosecution to prove guilt.

“There is the UK court here. There need not be phone call or phone call from someone’s wife,” he said in a thinly-veiled jibe against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, whom he has previously accused of interfering with institutions such as the judiciary.

Despite calls from various BN lawmakers to bring Raja Petra to justice, the government has so far not followed up on suggestions that they apply to extradite the runaway blogger who has made many claims, including the involvement of Najib and Rosmah in scandals such as the murder of Mongolian translator Altantuya Shariibuu.

Police have said they were looking into reports that he was seen in several countries, including the UK and Australia, after he absconded but have not reported any success.

Raja Petra, widely known by his initials RPK, also explained that Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is facing a sodomy charge which Pakatan Rakyat insists is trumped up, was in a different boat.

“Anwar has accepted the fact that he has to stay (in Malaysia) as he aspires to be the next prime minister. I have no political aspirations.

“I’ll probably be a free man longer than Anwar,” he quipped.

The member of the Selangor royal family referred to several incidences in his previous brushes with the law to back his claim that the Malaysian judiciary was not independent.

He questioned why the Federal Court had yet to decide on the government’s appeal against his release from the ISA, after more than a year.

He also said that he had tried to obtain a full bench of nine judges and “thought that maybe we will get seven but we ended up with just three.”

“We were told it was an administrative decision but nobody told us who made the decision or who were the judges until the day of the hearing.

“On the morning of the hearing, we found that one of them was Augustine Paul,” Raja Petra said, repeating what he had written about the hearing.

The late judge had in 2001 denied a habeas corpus application by Raja Petra to declare his first ISA detention illegal. Raja Petra had also written numerous articles criticising the judge who had also presided over Anwar’s first sodomy trial, which saw the sacked deputy prime minister being jailed for six years.

“I’ve written a lot of nasty things about him and called him all sorts of names. Even I would cite myself for contempt of court! How will he give me a fair trial?” Raja Petra said.

    Corruption Definition:
Giving or obtaining advantage through means which are illegitimate, immoral, and/or inconsistent with one's duty or the rights of others. Corruption often results from patronage. Business Dictionary

    Bribery Definition:
Something given or taken with an intention to influence the conduct or judgment of the person receiving it. Unlike extortion, bribe is used specifically to obtain something to which one does not have a right. Business Dictionary

The Prime Minister's famous bribery quote at the Rejang Park ceramah for the P212 Sibu by election.
“I want to make a deal with you. Can we have an understanding or not?” Najib asked some 1,000 people who attended a public rally at the residential area.

“The understanding is quite simple. "You help me, I help you,” said the Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman.

“If Robert Lau becomes the MP on Sunday, on Monday I will ask the cheque to be prepared,” Najib told the all-Chinese audience.

Are these kind of talks and actions considered as bribery? The EC, MACC, PDRM and the AG are all silence and no answer coming out from any of them. There are only two answers to it, "its bribery" but none of these institutions dare to investigate or take action against the Prime Minister. Second answer "its not bribery" which they will likely stick to it, even if any report is launched against the Prime Minister knowing that they have the power to subdue any challenges.

Nat Tan had offered a well written argument on the Prime Minister famous bribery quote, "You Help Me , I Help You" which I reproduced part of it here.

How can we expect our policemen not to ask for bribes? How can we expect our civil servants not to demand under table money?! When our NUMBER ONE EXECUTIVE is the very one spouting “I help you, you help me.” ?!?

How many times have we heard this statement from the crooked traffic cop, or the government officer whose approval we need for our restaurant license?

How can we fight corruption in this country, with this sort of ‘leadership’ by example? >:(

The question that is really being asked here is: how much is our dignity worth?

In Chinese majority Sibu, I suppose this is an especially pertinent question.

The question may seem to be whether one should choose RM 5 million for flood mitigation projects, even if it means putting up with the same arrogant Umno racism that has existed for decades and continues today ala statements from Ibrahim Ali re: the May 13 gathering.

In fact however, the question is: what moral right could Najib possibly have to tie aid for flood mitigation to political choice?

Surely this is a) an election offence, and b) holding the rakyat’s own money and (more importantly) safety and livelihood ransom.

The people of Sibu *deserve* that RM 5 million to help stop flooding, REGARDLESS of who gets voted in tomorrow.

If Najib cannot see that, he must take us all for whores, and will clearly never, ever be a real statesman.

Taking a 24 hours cooling period before making this post, as anything can still happen to the final official results especially when the mighty BN lost.

Sarawak Sibu P212 By Election Official Results :

    Total Turnout 37,919 voters

    Percentage Voted 70%

    DAP 18,845

    BN 18,447

    Ind 232

    Spoilt votes - 395 votes

    Majority 398

I was wrong and so are others who predicted that Umno/Supp will win except for Ong Kian Ming analysis that DAP will win with 500 majority.

PR/DAP win was truly a shocking surprise to many, especially PM Najib, who thought that might, power and money are all it takes to win an election. Even DAP supremo YB Lim Kit Siang dare not predict a slim chance of winning except to hope for a Sibu miracle.

Up till the last minute, Umno/Supp does not want to admit defeat, thus leading to allegations and speculations of the EC trying to manipulate the result when it delayed the announcing of the official results by two and half hours.

The ruling Government (or is it "umno's government") that refused to acknowledge that we are now living in the 21st century and they keep hoping against hope that by using the same old tactics of race, religion, intimidation and money will get the peoples vote. And worst is that the PM is now openly bribing the voters to ensure a victory. But these are no longer effective.

DAP wins in this Sibu by election is a tsunami itself comparable to the 308 tsunami. It does not matter what umno or its media are going to say or spin about DAP slim majority and if you take a look at the 2008 results, you can see the true fact that DAP had wiped out the 3235 majority gain by umno/Supp.

    DAP 15,903

    BN 19,138

    PKR 812

    Majority 3235

Even though umno is painting a very bad picture of Pakatan Rakyat, the result shows that the people are now more comfortable with non race base coalition and the fear of malay supremacy and May 13 are no longer there.

Since 308 there have been 11 by elections and the score is:

    PR/DAP WINS BY 398 Majority

The way the EC is handling things, DAP is bound to lose. BN would not accept defeat and EC has to do something, by hook or by crook to ensure BN wins. Malaysia mesti Boleh?

EC withholding postal votes result, for what reason. To me it is more likely that they did not get sufficient votes to enable BN to win. Inside counting center, very tense situation.

Unofficially DAP had won but EC is trying to readjust voters turnout figures and the postal votes. Something very fishy going on.

Yes, something not good from the EC, voters turnout may be wrong as per initial EC confirmation, now may be more. Most likely there will be a recount.

What is holding up the official results? Lim Kit Siang is going over 2Sanyan Bldh w Penang CM PR MPs 2find out from Election Com what is holding up announcement of #Sibu #P212 results.

DAP top leaders are not declaring victory as the counting is still ongoing including the postal vote.

Its not official, DAP won the Sibu by election. Will have to wait for EC official announcement.

    Update:
Its nearly 12 midnight and PR/DAP is wrapping up their ceramah. Over 50 Pakatan Rakyat leaders and MPs with PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim, DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang and PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang leading the charge.

The crowd of 2,000 at 7 pm ballooned to 10,000 by 9 pm with all available space opposite the Paramount Hotel jam packed with sea of people.

One thing we can be sure is that most of these people attending this ceramah are local unlike by election in the peninsular where many are imported supporters.

The size of the crowd does not determined the poll result and PR/DAP can only hope that whatever they said in the ceramah can convinced the voters to vote for them.

Only four hours remain for campaigning with both Pakatan Rakyat and umno/bn staging their ceramahs to woo voters for tomorrow's polling. All ceramahs will end at midnight tonight.

Money are still pouring in, the latest being voters receiving ‘grants’ of RM600, allocation of RM10,000 to RM20,000 for longhouse tuai heads to sway residents and promised of RM100 for ordinary voters across the races.

Where the hell does the money coming from, sadly the EC, MACC and PDRM are closing both their eyes to these kind of bribery.

Most reports coming in are predicting that umno/Supp will retained the seat with an exception from Ong Kian Ming predicting a narrow DAP victory by 500 votes.

With such kind of corruptions going on, not under the table nor above the table but openly that everyone can see, I am still predicting that umno/Supp will win.

But this win cannot be glorified instead should be shamed and condemned through and through.

Sibu voters, this is the last call to you all to open your eyes and see clearly the dirt of umno/Supp.

You cannot be wrong by voting PR/DAP.

PR/DAP is not 100% perfect but is surely 100% better than umno. BN exist in name only, all the component parties including SUPP are just umno's puppets without any power.

Pakatan Rakyat, according to the foes, are managing their States badly and will not last long after seeing a few PR elected MPs, Adun leaving to turn independent while supporting Umno/bn. Those who left claim of corruptions within PR, PR has no principle, they are not working for the people who elected them, everything PR does is bad in their imagination. They said that they left not because of offers by Umno/bn but because of their principle. So what they are saying is that umno/bn are clean of corruptions and whatever they do are in the rakyat best interest, they are leaders with principle. We cannot argue with them but will let the rakyat decide comes the 13th GE.

So is Pakatan Rakyat really that bad as claimed. You watch this video,(which the police claimed as seditious and make a u-turn saying it is not seditious after all) and see what the Pakatan Rakyat Governments have being doing after the March 08 tsunami.
